D.R. & Quinch - Alan Moore

Holy shit it has been a long time. To be honest, I've just been lazy and reading just plain ol' books. BUT, my friend lent me this comic, and it's fucking awesome, so I figured I'd upload the beast.

Art? Alternatives #1

If you're into creepy, fucked-up low-brow art like me, you will most likely enjoy this 'alternative' magazine from the 90s. A lot of good interviews, art and a couple comic panels! Particularly Joe Coleman & Robert Williams are definitely to be checked out.

PS: I'm not going to upload anymore of these, but you can find the other 8 issues here.

PPS: The download link for "Kill Your Boyfriend" is back up.

Dead End - Thomas Ott

I made this poster for next Tuesday, when our band Twisted Fister are going to slay along with two other super rad bands Hard Charger & Excommunicated. I really dig the art I used for the poster so I wanted to share the inspiration for it.

It's by this Swiss d00d, Thomas Ott, who does mostly Scratch art, which is basically taking some black india-ink paper and razoring the fuck out of it. It's pretty much fucking metal. I should know, because I do scratch art, thus making me extremely metal. Anyway, enough chit chat.

Henry & Glenn Forever - Tom Neely

My Friend Dahmer - Derf

My first scan!!!! I'm going to start going through some comics I have that I've never been able to find online. The first being this tiny comic I bought a couple years ago. It's badass. I was having some trouble opening it (got it to eventually) and if you have the same problems let me know and I'll try to fix it.

Kingdom Come

It's been awhile. I'm in the middle of scanning some junk, but while you wait enjoy Kingdom Come. I know this is different then other stuff I post, but this is the first comic that got me into comics.

Belly Button Comix #2 - Sophie Crumb

I love this woman. Her autobiographical story of her drugged out boyfriend reminds me of my entire teenage life.

Black Hole #1 - Charles Burns

Unfortunately for you, my discovery of the Toronto Public Library has reduced the amount of underground comic searching I do online. Especially since the TPL has a pretty expansive "Adult Graphic Novel" section which has introduced me to a lot of new shits. Especially Drawn & Quarterly which I was barely aware of beforehand! Also, in the past month I've been mostly reading a lot of books with only words; that is weird for me. I think the only comic I've read in the past week was the first graphic novel of Batman: Knightfall (Broken Bat), also from the library lulz. Anyway, I figured I'd post something I bought a bunch of months ago that I recently realized I had on my computron. It's Charles Burn's Black Hole. I'd again, recommend picking this up in tangible form. Here's the first issue, but if you are desperate for the rest feel free to comment and I will upload the rest.

Black Hole #1 - Charles Burns

Seriously though, it's worth the $25.

Schizo #1 - Ivan Brunetti

I have been feeling like the female equivalent to Ivan Brunetti lately. In the spirit of melancholic misanthropy, and because Matt was curious as to who Ivan Brunetti is...

Optic Nerve #2 (Sleepwalk)

I just finished reading all of Optic Nerve by Adrien Tomine and let me say I am infatuated. I can't describe the feeling that surfaces, or the tone, or anything of the sort because it does so itself. Here is a little taste of his first collection of Optic Nerve comics "Sleepwalk." I again, seriously recommend picking this up. You will not regret it.

Like a Velvet Glove Cast In Iron #1-10

I know this is still in print, so please buy it. Daniel Clowes is easily one of my favourite comic book artists and writers. His drawings melt my brain, and his strangely unpretentious yet weirdly interesting storylines make me happy to be alive. Either way, for those who are poor or curious, please enjoy Like A Velvet Glove Cast In Iron.
